Café Don Justo
2026. Av. Residencial del Parque Santiago de Querétaro, Qro
Design: T270 Architectural Firm
The aroma of freshly ground coffee and the warmth of wood are the heart of 'Don Justo,' an architectural intervention in a commercial café that celebrates the brand's rich heritage. With roots dating back to 1891, the design—captured in this series of images—achieves a masterful balance between the nostalgia of the past and contemporary sophistication. The space presents itself as an urban retreat that invites social connection and the appreciation of the coffee craft.
Upon crossing the threshold of Don Justo, the immediate impression is one of rich, balanced texture. The smooth-finished drywall partitions, painted in a warm, neutral tone, provide a clean, contemporary canvas that highlights the more organic elements. Replacing the previous brutalist aesthetic, the exposed-ceiling system—painted entirely in a cozy, soft beige—introduces a layer of technical interest and visual openness without sacrificing intimacy. WPC (Wood Plastic Composite) surfaces, featuring a convincing wood aesthetic, are used extensively in communal tables and custom shelving, lending the visual comfort of wood with the durability and sustainability of a modern material. The white terrazzo counter with turquoise flecks maintains its playful, contemporary touch, while the iconic black-and-white striped bistro chairs continue to anchor the space in the European coffee-house tradition.
The design fosters connection and discovery. The main seating area is anchored by massive WPC communal tables with a solid wood appearance, perfect for groups or the solitary worker. A floor-to-ceiling WPC shelving unit serves as a backdrop, functioning as a curated cabinet of curiosities that displays coffee bags in vibrant blue, indoor plants, and other branded objects. This focus on 'curation' extends to the bar area, where a 'DON JUSTO' sign featuring integrated greenery crowns the preparation zone.
A truly captivating element is the lighting. Suspended from the exposed beige ceiling, large, organic glass pendant lamps diffuse a soft, ethereal light, creating a dreamlike and inviting atmosphere that contrasts with the clean, smooth lines of the drywall partitions.
Don Justo is not merely a café; it is a destination where architecture serves as a vehicle for storytelling. Every texture—from the terrazzo to the smooth drywall—and every element, from the glass 'clouds' to the WPC surfaces, has been thoughtfully curated to elevate the coffee experience into an act of appreciation for craftsmanship and sustainable design. At Don Justo, the past and the present coexist in perfect harmony, inviting visitors to become part of a legacy that remains vibrant and thriving within a modern, welcoming environment.
Industrial Hub
2023. Irapuato, Guanajuato.
Design: Novum Real Estate & Development
Located in Irapuato, this commercial development emerges to redefine the experience of open-air shopping and recreation. The plaza presents an architectural proposal that fuses the robust character of brick cladding with the warmth of earth-toned textured plaster.
This material combination, far from casual, creates an aesthetic that dialogues between tradition and modernity. The brick, with its organic texture, conveys solidity and history, while the plaster introduces smooth surfaces that balance the visual composition. As a unifying and sophisticated element, dark gray fabric awnings extend over each storefront, providing not only solar protection but also a coherent and elegant visual identity along the entire façade.
The architectural design prioritizes the pedestrian experience. Black metal structures support the expansive roofs, integrating seamlessly with the color palette and reinforcing the sense of an industrial-chic yet highly welcoming space. This layout invites visitors to stroll, explore, and enjoy the various corners the complex has to offer.
As evening falls, the project’s vibrant soul is revealed. The spacious terraces and walkways come to life thanks to strategically placed warm, ambient lighting, creating a festive and immersive atmosphere. The plaza transforms into a true meeting point: the outdoor furniture fills with diners enjoying the open air amidst a landscape design featuring meticulously maintained islands of greenery. Furthermore, the integration of a modern, safe playground consolidates this space as a family-friendly environment that fosters community across all ages.
Gowago
2024. Corporate Offices.Zurich, Switzerland.
Design: T270 Arquitectural Firm
Located in the heart of Switzerland's financial epicenter, the new Gowago headquarters in Zurich redefine the corporate workspace experience. As one of the most innovative players in the vehicle leasing sector, the brand sought to embed its dynamic, fast-paced DNA into its central hub. The result is a high-performance interior design project that masterfully integrates automotive-inspired elements with a contemporary industrial elegance.
Navigating the office is, quite literally, a journey. Transition areas have been transformed into a racetrack through an ingenious dark flooring design that incorporates dashed white lines, simulating a road. This playful element guides collaborators through the space, flanked by suspended acoustic panels that provide an impeccable visual rhythm, alongside vibrant murals that reinforce the company’s core philosophy: 'Make the world move with a smile.
The devotion to automobiles is palpable in every corner, integrating a passion for engines directly into the furniture. In the lounge area, the steel coffee table reveals an impeccable orange-toned Porsche scale model on its lower tier, transforming the piece into a subtle display case.
This narrative thread extends to the collaborative workspaces, where a scale Lamborghini adorns the expansive natural wood stations, injecting energy and serving as a constant reminder of the business's core, all beneath the glow of an imposing neon sign that crowns the space.
The color palette utilizes the vibrant corporate orange strategically for zoning and stimulation. From the hexagonal-patterned rug in the lounge to the ceiling acoustic panels, the color acts as a cohesive thread that adds warmth to the space’s natural light.
In the operational zone, functionality meets comfort. High-end ergonomic chairs, clean-desk workstations, and felt acoustic dividers provide an environment that fosters deep concentration without sacrificing visual spaciousness.
This project achieves a perfect balance between a visually striking aesthetic and human-centric design. It does not merely house a vehicle leasing company; it propels it, creating a work ecosystem that operates with the same precision, innovation, and style as the vehicles they put on the road.
Anytime Fitness
2026. Anytime Fitness: Spatial Branding & Interior Design.Pereiro de Aguiar, Spain.
Design: T270 Arquitectural Firm
In the Galician municipality of Pereiro de Aguiar, Spain, the architectural retrofit of this new Anytime Fitness gym redefines the training experience through a design that fuses functionality, brand identity, and spatial well-being. More than just a place to exercise, the project presents a holistic environment where architecture becomes a catalyst for motivation, community, and performance.
From the entrance, the design establishes an inviting and dynamic atmosphere. The reception acts as a hub, articulating the transition between the exterior and the training zones, incorporating warm materials such as natural wood that contrast with a contemporary palette of neutral tones and the brand's signature purple corporate accents. This combination generates a robust and recognizable visual identity, capable of conveying warmth without sacrificing a modern, technological aesthetic.
A highlight of the project is the meticulous attention to secondary areas. The locker rooms and personal storage spaces were conceived with a sober, warm aesthetic, where wood, spot lighting, and spa-inspired finishes create an atmosphere of comfort that elevates the experience beyond physical training. These spaces reinforce the perception of quality and care that defines the brand.
The intervention also integrates graphic elements and branding resources directly into the architecture. Large-format murals, ambient lighting, and chromatic details serve as tools to reinforce corporate identity and add visual dynamism, transforming exercise zones into stimulating spaces that promote dwell time and a sense of belonging.
The interior layout leverages the scale of the existing warehouse to organize various training programs under an open and flexible logic. The cardio areas are oriented toward large glazed surfaces that allow for an abundance of natural light, strengthening the visual connection with the surroundings and providing a constant sense of spaciousness. Transparency and natural illumination reduce the perceived effort and contribute to creating healthier, more energetic spaces.
The retrofit of Anytime Fitness Pereiro de Aguiar demonstrates how a well-executed architectural intervention can transcend the functional requirements of a gym to become a complete spatial experience. The result is a contemporary, luminous, and highly efficient environment where design, technology, and wellness converge to address the evolving understanding of fitness in the 21st century.
